Energy efficiency is built into every Supermod home. Because we build with light-gauge steel, we use a continuous layer of exterior insulation (outsulation) that wraps the walls and roof of the home. This creates a highly insulated building envelope, helping to minimize thermal bridging and improve overall energy performance.
You can think of it as wrapping the entire home in a thermal blanket. The result is a home that is more comfortable year-round, easier to heat and cool, and more energy efficient.
Our homes are typically designed to meet or exceed BC Energy Step Code 4, with many projects capable of achieving Step Code 5, depending on the design, location, and performance goals. We can also work with specialized energy consultants to meet Net Zero Ready, Net Zero, or Passive House standards when desired.
The combination of precision factory construction, steel framing, continuous exterior insulation, and high-performance building envelopes creates a home that is built for long-term comfort, durability, and energy savings.
